A minimum fat level of 12% is required for it to be called ‘Irish Cream Liqueur’. Carolans Light is 8% fat and as such it is a ‘Cream Liqueur Imported from Ireland’. Rest assured, Carolans Light is produced and bottled in the same facility as regular Carolans Irish Cream.

Yes, it is produced in Clonmel in County Tipperary in Ireland, an area of stunning natural beauty, also know as the Golden Vale. The Gaelic for Clonmel is “Cluain Meala” which translates as the 'Vale of Honey'.

Lower fat and reduced calories simply means that your calorie and fat intake is significantly less (ie 50% less fat and 18% less calories) than you would consume for the same quantity of regular Carolans Irish Cream.

As Carolans Light contains Fresh Irish Cream it’s always best to refrigerate after opening (as with all cream liqueurs).

A technological advantage in the manufacturing process gives Carolans Light great stability. On average Carolans Light will last 2 years unopened, although it is best drunk within 6 months of being opened. It is recommended that the bottle is refrigerated once opened, to keep it at its best.

There is also a ‘Best Before Date’ indicated on the back label of the bottle.
